I booked a stay at Villas El Rancho in Mazatlan through Trip.com (Ref: [Insert Booking #]). Upon arrival, the unit was in an uninhabitable state—filthy, dilapidated, and not as described. I rejected the room immediately and vacated the premises in less than 10 minutes.Despite Trip.com’s advertised 'Service Guarantee,' their support team refused to honor a refund after a 2-hour phone battle, forcing me to secure alternative lodging at Camino Al Mar at my own expense. I have provided 8 time-stamped photos of the conditions and proof of my immediate check-in at a different hotel to my bank.I am currently disputing the $551.88 charge through Chase. Travelers should be aware that the 'Service Guarantee' was not honored in this clear case of a sub-standard property.
