Booked into Travelodge Sports City Manchester, what a dive to say the very least. Clearly used to house people long term very noisy family across on our floor. Staffing numbers are a total joke, felt so sorry for the 2 staff on duty. We had evening meal and breakfast booked prior to staying. All I can say is I wish I had never pre paid as I have had better food from supermarkets cafe. Breakfast was a joke as it opens at 7am we arrived 7:15 and no bacon, sausage, hash browns. Place really needs money spending along with more staff. Emailed customer service but not had no reply to date. Will I use Travelodge again, most definitely not im afraid as the brand really has gone down hill over the years. Gonna pay little extra and continue to use PI.

When booking a room for 25/March, the dates kept jumping forward on the TL website. I had to repeat the process three times to book a room for one night at Hackney London. When I arrived at Hackney (from Scotland) at 9pm my reservation could not be found and then was found for 29 March! Horror. Spent 45 minutes talking to central reservations to try and resolve. The manager admitted there were technical problems and that he was experiencing the same in rebooking my room, that is, the dates jumping forward. He said the only way he could rebook the room for that night was to charge me an extra £54.16 as he could not override the additional fees as only customer services could do this who were now closed. He advised to speak with customer service when they reopened. I emailed them (as no one answers the phone; be aware this call is charged at a high rate which TL makes money on). But so far they have refused to refund the additional fees now pretending there was nothing wrong with their booking system!? There were other regular customers complaining when I checked in. The booking site is operated in chaos. I was a regular customer and put up with lack of soap in dispensers in bathrooms but will not be returning to Travel Lodge. Crooks.

I have already put a review about the actual booking. However, I have submitted a complaint and they tell you it will be answered in 2 days. Guess what? Not true. Nearly a week and no response. I put my review online, at their request, and obviously it was not favorable. Guess what? No response. I have also emailed the CEO, so let's see if she will respond.Terrible company, would not recommend. Go to the Premier Inn if you want good customer service from staff and a good experience.

Many issues, will list in order of importance. Firstly, The tongues in the rooms for security lock from inside had been removed "why". others had the same prob so all rooms the same. Felt unsafe and put our suitcases against the door. very poor security. Had inner locks fitted originally but removed??????Next, extractor fan in bathroom did not work and no window so smell lasted the duration.Next, WiFi have to pay and could not connect second phone, even after half hour online with tech help. Finally, had to get a voucher from reception, who seemed familiar with this. Virgin media is rubbish and keeps cutting out.Bath plughole filled with hair? wife cleaned up so was usable. Next, Curtain was hanging off, wife put it back.TV was switched on in the room when we arrived as if the staff had been watching or something??Never again using Travelodge, Hellingly,Eastbourne

Via T'Lodge website booked a room for April 16th'26, 4nights. Ap.10th checked the booking on my pc, NO BOOKING! Immediately emailed customer services, immediate response was we don't respond through this medium! Eventually got through to an agent who I could barely understand. Result, booking was there on her comp system, but couldn't understand that it was not registered on their website, even though I had an email confirming the booking.Big problem is, it is possible we turn up at the hotel 2.5hrs drive away and they say it's not on their system. I say this as it's happened to me before with a booking at Devizes T'Lodge. Family turned up at Xmas for the booking I had made (and had confirmed), but it was not on the hotel system!! Same happened at Colchester so I was told by the receptionist there. A couple turned up with the paper booking, but wasn't on hotel system!!!My booking for April 16th has been confirmed today by an agent on the phone (not the hotel as they didnt answer my 2 phone calls), he also sent me by email the original confirmation made at the time of the booking, copy of which I still have. He had no answer as to why my booking is not showing on their website, but will raise the matter. Big problem, I'm on the FLEXI, ok, but if need to cancel ref petrol shortages, how do I cancel, cause the booking is not registered on their website!!?I meanwhile have written a long letter, marked URGENT, to T'Lodges Chief Operating Oficer at Head Office and hope for a reply before April 16th.

I spent one night in the London Covent Garden Travelodge. I asked the guy at the desk for a room that was quiet (as quiet as can be in central London), preferably on the top floor but was given a room on the ground floor. He wasn't very friendly and told me how to get to the room via a creepy, very dark courtyard. I was told to use my door 'key' to get through the courtyard into the corridor that would lead to the bedroom. But after about several minutes of trying, the key still didn't work and I had to return to the desk for another 'key'. When I got to my room I was horrified as it was immediately obvious it was going to be incredibly noisy. It was positioned on a side street rather that Drury Lane itself and the noise outside of people shouting was awful. I looked out of the window (the curtains were already closed) and realised it would be impossible to have the curtains open as it would mean no privacy. It can't have had any double glazing as I could hear what people were saying let alone shouting. I thought I would go back to the desk to request another room but as he'd already said there were no other vacancies on other floors I thought it would be a waste of time. I thought at first that maybe the noise might be okay later but it got worse and worse and didn't stop until about 3am. I could pretty much hear every word that the numerous people outside were shouting or when just talking very loudly. There was a massive amount of screaming, hysterical laughing, lots of swearing, arguments among drunk groups of people. At times it was very scary. Ironically, my room was opposite some sort of 'attraction' to do with the tv series 'Traitors' - which the desk people must have known. It couldn't be worse. I thought the noise would die down at about 11pm but it just went on and on as more drunk people emerged. I got about less than 2 hours sleep after 3pm. I complained at the desk in the morning. To be fair the 2 women at the desk apologised. I realise that London is a lively, noisy place but having asked for a quiet room and explaining that I was not very well but was given what was probably the worst room in the entire hotel is not good service. Perhaps the desk staff have no idea how noisy the rooms are at night on the ground floor - well they should know and at least have given me a heads up that the room would be particularly noisy, especially as I'd asked for a quiet room. But they didn't. I requested a full refund, I was offered half the money back. Given I got only 2 hours sleep, had a very miserable , horrible and sometimes scary night listening to foul language and drunken arguments just outside my window, I think I should have had all my money back. I have been in Travelodges about 4 times before. None have been particularly good. But this one was a nightmare.

I booked a hotel room, yes it was on the saver rate, but due to a family death I was not able to attend as I wouldn’t be in the country. I contacted travelodge and ask if there was a way I could request a partial refund as a goodwill gesture, as they would still be able to rent the room out. They gave a firm no, and said I can amend the date (each time costing an extra £12.50 - even if the room rate is cheaper than originally booked). There was no compassion for the situation. My rating is based on the customer service received and not the hotel itself.

Booked an early book-in and selected a specific room. The room was not ready for the early book in. The room given was next to a coridor door that was noisey and kept us awake. The receptionist was un helpful, Travelodge refunded early book-in and selected room but did not compensate for the mess that they made towards our stay.
