Used to Be Great, Now Just Pushing Out Slop
I was such a fan of TopResume that I referred multiple friends and colleagues to them over the years. I genuinely believed in their service. That makes this experience incredibly disappointing.The resume I received was full of basic errors — employer names missing and my education section randomly dropped in the middle of my work history. When I raised these issues, their editorial team “reviewed” the draft and concluded it met their quality standards. Rather than fixing anything, they asked me to send screenshots to prove the errors existed.The final product felt like it was AI-generated with zero human oversight or attention to my specific background. No care, no detail — just slop.I used to send people to TopResume without hesitation. I won’t be doing that anymore, and I’ll be letting the people I already referred know about this experience too. Avoid.

TopResume works like a well-oiled machine! Everything came together smoothly.I chose the resume service and expedited service.Working with John U. was terrific. He replied promptly, and we communicated well. John gave me further confidence in the finished product by answering questions I had about the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and how my resume had been optimized.I've already started getting this resume out there!

No value for money - resume writing ok but placement support is zero
I bought the job placement service (topresume+careerminds) which included resume writing, linkedin update.The experience with the resume writing was good but the job placement support (whch was the more critical piece of the package) was almost zero. Resume distribution to "select recruiters" received 0 responses in 2+ months. Customer support was bad from careerminds and did not address any issues.

My agent did not seem to have experience with my areas of expertise related to enterprise software presales for SaaS platforms, regulated industries, and compliance frameworks like SOC 2. I had to explain and re-explain what it is and why it is important. I even paid extra to have a live phone call with my agent. They suggested 'Recognized for explaining the importance of SOC 2' be added to resume. That made me think they pasted our conversation into AI and the AI recognized that I thought SOC 2 was important. Also, one of their suggested edits to my resume was the bullet 'Initiated the Partner Certification Initiative'. Perhaps their AI enjoys Monty Python sketches. The agent did seem courteous and responsive, just was not well-versed with enterprise presales.

Efficient but Personal
It was an easy to follow process. My first draft came faster than anticipated. It was very easy to work with Silas. They definitely listened to my requests.
