You aren’t buying a system; you’re buying multiple headaches.

I’ve spent over £350 on the SwitchBot ecosystem (Lock, Keypad, Hub, CO2 monitor, Doorbell), and I can tell you: the "smart" part is a myth.The moment you change your phone, the entire system collapses. Because SwitchBot lacks a unified cloud-sync for its local mesh, a new phone doesn't "inherit" your home; it treats your devices like total strangers. I am now forced into a multi-hour "re-pairing marathon" for hardware that is already physically installed and functional.The technical failures are inexcusable for this price:• Zero System Portability: Every single node—the lock, the keypad, the sensors—must be manually re-paired. It’s a cascading failure of UX.• Ergonomic Nightmare: The setup requires "physical gymnastics"—standing at the door, racing against 60-second timeouts, and manipulating hardware while trying to navigate a laggy app. It is completely inaccessible for anyone with limited mobility.• Support as a Barrier: When the pairing inevitably fails, the app doesn't help. It forces you to find and upload an invoice just to get past an error screen. I am literally holding the device I paid hundreds for, yet I’m being "interrogated" by the software just to use it.SwitchBot is selling a premium-priced collection of individual gadgets that don’t talk to each other effectively. If you value your time or your sanity, look elsewhere.

Reliable products

I'm using a lot of switchbot products and I'm satisfied with its reliability. In case of privacy, products can be used without a cloud, which I appreciate the most.

Easy and user friendly devices

I've been using SwitchBot products since the first Kickstarter campaign for the SwitchBot curtain devic. 4-5 years after, still going strong with multiple daily uses. Its a real workhorse. Since they increased their product offer to more devices i've been using the switchbot bot, various meters, hub and water leak detector (only tested to see if it works, hopefully i won't ever hear it but good to have in case something leaks in the hotpress). Integrated some devices with Home Assistant. No connection issues etc.. so far so good!

Warning: Unusable Lock + Terrible Support – Switching Brands

Products are great when they work, but customer service is nonexistent once something breaks.My Vision Pro Keypad died after a few months. It's been 11 days with no real help from support:Took 4 days for a human reply, which was a generic response ignoring my issue. Requested more help—now 7 days of silence.My door lock has been unusable for over a week. I own multiple SwitchBot devices (Hub 2, Hub 3, Lock Ultra, Lock Pro, Vision Lock Pro, x4 Curtain rollers) and used to recommend them enthusiastically. No more—I'm done buying SwitchBot and switching to other brands. Lack of support and basic care has killed any loyalty.Thanks for nothing.

SwitchBot Hub 3 really worth it!

I’ve been using the SwitchBot Hub 3 for about 5 months now and it has completely transformed my home automation. It was incredibly easy to set up and works flawlessly with all my devices. The connection is rock solid, and I love how it integrates everything into one app. It’s reliable, compact, and worth every penny. Highly recommended!

Great company for smarthome products

I use not so many SwitchBot products currently, as my smart home setup was already quite extensive when SwitchBot began to gain more and more traction in the smart home market.Currently, I use the* SwitchBot Hub Mini* SwitchBot Lock Ultra* SwitchBot Meter Plus* SwitchBot Plug Mini* SwitchBot RGBICWW Floor Lampand I'm very satisfied with all of them so far.I bought the SwitchBot Lock Ultra when it was brand new on the market. Initially, there were occasional calibration issues (the lock would lose calibration and need to be recalibrated).However, SwitchBot quickly fixed this with a software update, and since then, I've hardly experienced the problem at all. It's great when a manufacturer reacts quickly to problems and resolves them. Basically, the lock has always opened the door for me, and I never carry a key with me anymore. It's truly a fantastic experience that I wouldn't want to be without.The other SwitchBot products I use also work flawlessly and reliably.I also like that SwitchBot tries to bring new, innovative products to the market, such as the AI ​​Art Frame or the Acemate Tennis Robot.For me, this is definitely a recommendable manufacturer who tries to address customer wishes and problems.Greetings from Germany.Markus

Happy customer

Have been using their blind tilt, remote and contact sensor for a while, and very happy with it. Works flawlessly together and integrates in Home Assistant! Pricing is also very reasonable. Would recommend!

Goodbye Dirty Tanks: The S10 Redefines Home Cleaning

I ordered the S10 after watching many review videos from different people. What immediately impressed me was the fact that it has two separate stations and, above all, the ability to automatically fill and drain water. No more dirty and smelly tanks to empty.In my case, I took advantage of an amazing 60% discount offer. Unfortunately, due to high demand, the delivery time was significantly delayed, and it only arrived 4 days ago. I must say that every time I contacted SwitchBot for updates on the delay, they were always prompt in their responses, and each time they even granted me an additional discount. You can tell the company really cares about its customers.As soon as it arrived, I set everything up. In my case, I had to purchase a few additional connectors (not included), but the provided accessories should be sufficient for most users. After configuring the app and connecting the robot, I immediately started the home mapping process, which took less than half an hour (90 sqm apartment).Once the mapping was complete, I tested the cleaning in a single room. Here I encountered a few issues with water loading, which failed three times showing an “abnormal water loading” error. I tried searching online, but I had already ruled out the common causes. Eventually, the process worked—most likely because, although not mentioned in the manual, the system needs a few attempts to properly fill the circuit.After that, the robot started vacuuming and mopping… and I must say, the floor was perfectly clean. I set it so that after each room, the robot returns to the base to empty and refill water.On Sunday, I had it clean the entire house with two passes (vacuum + mop). This obviously takes more time, but the precision of the cross-pattern cleaning leaves no chance for dirt. In this mode, the battery wasn’t enough to complete the whole job, but that wasn’t a problem—it simply recharged to 50% and then finished the last room.Today I scheduled a full vacuum of the house, and it completed everything in 55 minutes.At the moment, I’m extremely happy with the purchase. Watching it work while you relax on the couch reading a book or watching TV is priceless… absolutely highly recommended.
