I have tried 4 other meal delivery services and Sunbasket has the best quality produce by far! I love the fact that almost everything is organic and the meals are creative and delicious.

I received multiple deliveries from Sunbasket that arrived warm, making the food unsafe to consume. I reported each issue and was issued multiple credits as a result.I also provided specific feedback about what was going wrong with the packaging in an effort to prevent it from happening again. That feedback was ignored, and the problem continued.Instead of addressing the root issue, Sunbasket later removed at least one of the credits without any notification. Shortly after, they shut down my account for having a “high level of credits”—even though those credits were issued because of their own repeated delivery and packaging failures.At the time my account was closed, I still had over $300 in unresolved charges tied to boxes that were either unsafe or associated with credits that had been removed. Rather than resolving this directly, I was told to dispute the charges with my bank.This is not an acceptable way to handle food safety issues. I reported legitimate problems, tried to help them correct it, and was ultimately penalized for it.I would strongly caution anyone considering this service: if something goes wrong, you may be left without resolution.

This meal delivery service is horrible! The recipes seem like they were never tested....like they were made by AI. I literally had to throw out more than $60 worth of food because it was so disgusting and then I was told that because I was over the 7 day limit, I could not get a refund. DO NOT USE THIS SCAM MEAL SERVICE and good luck if you ever need to speak with an acutal human about your experience!

SENIORS-BUYER BEWARE IF YOU HAVE USED SUNBASKET PREVIOUSLY. I have been a meal kit customer for years, and Sunbasket from 2018-22. We are elderly and decided to join Sunbasket again for the quality of their food (organic). The problem began when I unwittingly used a different email address to establish the new account, and thought that I had cancelled the old account. Not so, as we got two "first week deliveries" this week, on a Monday, and again Tuesday. I learned that I had apparently reactivated the old account, and the redundant delivery Tuesday was from the old account. It was $171+, being without any new account promotional credits. Its mirror image box received the preceding Monday was $128+. In working with Sunbasket customer service to obtain a refund I have been unsuccessful, due to the chronology of events that show I (inadvertently) opened the old account (by accessing the website with the dated credentials, which it would not let me change to new credentials from the new account I had set up, with promotional discounts). It seemed it was cancelled, as I began using the account with my new credentials. I had three weeks of meals planned. I thought I cancelled the old account through a process given me by a bot on the site, and never had any communication about the meals for our first order from that old account on that email address, so was taken aback when the second duplicate order arrived. We are seniors, aged 81 and 73, and due to a back ailment, I can no longer stand at a counter or stove to cook, so we are wholly reliant upon meal kit services for our meals. Reluctantly, I have now canceled the new account, and plan to never use them again, for their lack of understanding that I, apparently, made an honest mistake, as well as no evident loyalty to customers to consider all angles of a problem. A lesson for me is to ALWAYS get written confirmation of any account cancellation, lest it haunt you in the future.P.S. We have had one meal from the two boxes. It was mediocre, not great.

The food is high-quality in the delivery is easy. The customer service is great. The flavors of the meals are absolutely delicious and they are easy to make.

Most deliveries have an apology for not using organic ingredients. Their vegetables are always past their due date, their AI is atrocious, and their delivery puts the box wherever and in the wrong orientation. Use another service, I've tried several different meals companies and their the worst. I would give zero stars if they let me. Couldn't cancel my plan quick enough.

Sunbasket has chosen to use AI only for customer service. The customer ends up in an endless loop that does not solve problems. It is very frustrating the Ai cuts you off if you don't type fast enough. They don't proactively communicate if you have a question or problem. It is awful to have to deal with machines only. The food is gret but the packing-delivery- and service is terrible. It is a shame because the food is fabulous it's everything else that is truly awful and such a waste of sutomer's time

Terrible customer service. When you have an issue with a meal, which you most likely will with each delivery, customer service will not be helpful. They're slow to respond and will not fix the issue. This past delivery, I was fully refunded in credits because of issues with my delivery only for them to take all of the credits away without even telling me.

We were solid customers for a year, getting five meal plans a week and when we were in a situation of building a home and needing to put a hold on our subscription, after pausing the subscription, we got sent an additional set of five meals which was $180 worth of food, after we had successfully paused the subscription. We tried to delete our credit card so that they couldn’t continue sending meals, but could not delete the card numbers. So we deleted the account so that they could no longer send more meals without our approval. The final meal they sent before we deleted the account arrived 48 hours late and the food was spoiled, and when we reached out to get a refund, they refused to give us the refund. Be very careful using this company as customer service is not their number one goal. We will be searching the other companies that provide the same type of product once we have our new house completed and are ready for meal deliveries again.
