Scammers
I’m giving Similarweb 1 star.The service quality is poor and the data is often inaccurate, which makes it hard to rely on for any serious decision-making. On top of that, after our annual contract ended, they kept trying to charge our card repeatedly despite clear communication that we were not continuing the cooperation. That behavior is unacceptable.In my view, this is very close to scam-like practices.That said, if you still decide to work with them, one thing worth noting: their pricing is highly negotiable. It’s surprisingly easy to push the cost down — even significantly (we managed to reduce it by up to 20x).

I didn't check Trustpilot before going…
I didn't check Trustpilot before going on to this site... WRONG... my bad... I just wanted to see what it is, but before I got any idea, it started asking me a lot of questions about my company, title, size, etc., until it prompted me to give my phone number.... So easy to spot that this is the exact time they lost my trust. Good day to you Similarweb. I know you now, and obviously will never return. Option spilled.

Not far of being a scam in my opinion.
I signed up for the trial service and put a calendar reminder in to cancel the day before the trail was due to end (in case I didn't find the service helpful).I logged on and cancelled on that day, and I never logged back on.I was subsequently charged $350 on two occasions for consecutive months.I tried to call SimilarWeb which is hard enough. When I managed to speak with someone I explained the situation and my point was, even if the cancellation did not process properly due to a system error, it is obvious I thought it was cancelled as I have not logged on or used the service since. I was told they would look into it. Then I had 2 seperate unconnected people call me. The first said it is unlikely they would refund. The second said they could see my point, they had checked I had not used the service, and that I would likely get a refund.Then, radio silence.This kind of behavior is known as 'rent seeking' in tech circles. The system is design to make it easy for you to sign up and very hard for you to cancel.Not a good look for this company.Steer clear.

The support staff are very responsive…
The support staff are very responsive and helpful. I subscribed for the free trial and accidentally let it lapse, which cost me $399. I reached out to support and explained my error, and within a day they responded and initiated a refund.

API usage unavailable even at price plans of six thousand a year. Chat support absolutely terrible, unable to actually write a conversation, just generic messages constantly, unable to speak to a human being.
