I ordered a personalized foil card for my son’s last year in middle school, saying that I was sooo disappointed is an understatement. The way they packaged the card was so bad, the side where the picture is, got so ruined, bent and even a little torn. My question is who in the hell would pack a card that way? I wanted to leave this review in their website, but they have no section for reviews. Such idiots smh

I have used them to make over 100 photobooks but their 2026 software update is horrible. Making basic edits to a layout is now a painstaking process that never gets it right - I can't even make photos align, which should be a basic function. I will change vendors if they don't make improvements quickly because every time I open a project I just end up frustrated.

Puzzle pieces were creased and bent.I have bought hundreds of items but this time the pieces were hard to put together and the puzzle did not look good when I was done.Shutterfly said that they were going to contact me in five hours but after two days still no word.

They lost all of my work-- twice. First time, I spent all weekend on a photo album. On Saturday my work saved and on Sunday didn't. It just disappeared. I contacted them via chat and the rep left me holding them disconnected. I called customer service and they said they'd get with tech support and would get back to me. That was over a week ago, I have heard nothing. So foolish me, I decided to start over rather than give up on half the book. 3 hours into it, I saw the autosave wasn't autosaving. Tried to manually save -- poof, gone. I am so frustrated I am in tears. Almost worse is now I have to deal with their atrocious customer service again.

I have a lot of vacation photos (3800) that I was interested in printing but was around $1200 with $12 shipping. i got a coupon cade in email with unlimited 4x6 prints free. Thought it was too good to be true but tied it anyway. The code worked provided the prints for free but the shipping jumped up to almost $400. what a scam....I could also used a 75% off coupon with free shipping, same cost. This is deceptive advertising....nothing is free but is really deceptive to give people the perception it is free when it is not.

Shutterfly recently changed their website layout, process of creating a book. The site will not load. It keeps saying 'page not responding'. Wait or exit page. I am using a brand new laptop. It is not my end. I tried on 4 different devices using various servers. I think the site is now outsourced to another country where English is not their first language as it asked me to 'Sort photos BUY date'. Long time customer that no longer has the patience to finish a book I've invested 1000s of hours in creating (since November before all the changes and FRUSTRATION !). I would attach photos as proof if I was able to do so.

Shutterfly just changed their editing software which is no better than what was there. The worst issue, is my wife has 3 books in progress which she gives to our grandkids at their birthdays. After the "upgrade" almost all of the images reverted back to the original without zoom editing and even some Shutterfly stickers that she put in there suddenly appeared on kids' faces and in the wrong spots. Their customer service couldn't offer much other than "sorry" we'll give you a $20 coupon........This is a major issue for her which will require many hours/days of rework. They also did not notify any users that they were making this change. She's made almost 100 books with Shutterfly. (Not exaggerating). They have lost a long term customer over this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
