Scheels in Sparks told me they price match if I showed proof, which I did. I found it for $249 on MidwayUSA and Scheels was selling it for $429 they verified the lower MidwayUSA price on the exact same Vortex Viper HS scope on their website , then refused to honor it after speaking with a manager. Then I was given an excuse about limited inventory that had nothing to do with what I was originally told and promised. I’ve spent thousands of dollars at this store, including over $2,500 recently, and as a veteran and loyal customer, this kind of treatment is extremely disappointing. Losing a customer over a simple price match is terrible business. Buyers beware they do not keep their word and honor things they claim to stand on.

***RASICT EMPLOYEE WORK HERE!!!*** We will absolutely not be back, as scheels is employing racists. We came to purchase a firearm today and the staff would not help us. We looked around for 15-20 minutes, not a single person spoke to us once. My husband was in line at the counter to purchase the one he wanted and there were about 5 people working. Once he got towards the front of the line they would make eye contact with him and either just blatantly ignore him and start personal conversations with other employees or go to the back. After being ignored repeatedly so the staff could help other customers (who were white) instead of him he finally left. I brought it to one of the managers (Lindsey D) to which her response was "we employe a lot of Hispanic people so I don't think it was racist". Fun fact, just because you're employing peopl of color doesn't mean you aren't ALSO employing racists. I asked her for scissors to cut up my Scheels card since she was clearly defending the racism and she told me she couldn't do that because it's a weapon. I told her to cut it up then and she said absolutely. Once she received the scissors she handed them to me and let me cut it up. I do not appreciate how my husband was treated or the insinuation that I was going to attack someone with scissors because I wanted to cut up my credit card. The entire Scheels management team should be ashamed. Lindsay D I hope you sleep well at night knowing you're part of the problem with racism still being rampant in this country. Disgusting.

Dishonest policies and lack of follow-through on promotional offers through third-party vendors (Rakuten.com).Participated in a Black Friday offering Scheels.com had with Rakuten for 15% off all purchases (excluding the typical items [e.g., gift cards, ammunition, firearms]). Made a significant purchase, over $1800 to only be 'disqualified' on the promotional transaction.Shadey company with false offers. I even have a $50 dollar gift card from them and I don't even want to use it now.Highly recommend finding another place to spend your money!

They will take your money and run. I’m going to walk the Camino this spring, all my research says get Salomon shoes, they had a pair my size but these shoes are made narrow. Evan told me he could get the same shoe in wide from another store but I had to pay for it and give my home address for purchase purposes only. He obviously was ordering on line. I double checked Salomon - they do not have an option for a wide shoe. I would have received the exact same shoe that didn’t fit delivered to my house, although he stated I could bring it back I was certain when the time came they would have a policy against returning shoes once worn and I couldn’t prove I didn’t wear them.I brought it to Evan’s attention that Salomon didn’t have wide shoes, his answer was hmm. No indication I was wrong or showing me the shoe he was going to order - can’t say this for all Scheels stores (if they actually have more than one as implied). But the one in Waite Park will rip you off.

Scheels is a company that operates on "Rules for thee, but not for me." I attempted to use their advertised Price Match Policy. After they forced me to create an account (harvesting my data), they denied the match because the competitor wasn't "BBB Accredited," claiming that meant they weren't an "authorized dealer."Here is the kicker: SCHEELS IS NOT BBB ACCREDITED.Their agent (I have the screenshots) explicitly told me that lack of BBB accreditation equals a lack of authorization. If that’s the case, Scheels just admitted they aren't authorized to sell their own inventory.When I brought this to a manager, he called it a "miscommunication." It wasn't. It was a calculated lie used to protect their margins. They lure you in with the promise of a price match, take your data, and then move the goalposts with fake requirements they don't even meet themselves. They are intellectually dishonest and treat their customers like fools. Avoid their "Price Match" gimmick at all costs.

Be aware and very cautious of The Shield's credit card issued by first national Bank of Omaha they will set an initial high credit limit in 3 months later lower it for no reason and put your usage up to 90 to 95% so it takes your credit score it just happened to me in less than 3 months be aware if I could give this company a zero it would be a minus zero I had two cards with that bank and close them both.

Been purchasing equipment including golf and fishing from Scheels for years now. A+ customer service, product always arrives as expected in the mail. Warranties on broken fishing rods have been used to replace them, and Scheels has always made it a swift process.
