We needed a dog sitter for 2 days…
We needed a dog sitter for 2 days during our vacation and used Rover.com for the first time. The ease of the app and filtering people in the area was a definitely a valuable attribute. We found a wonderful dog sitter so we were able to fun with a peace of mind. I would definitely recommend.

Room for improvement
I like the concept but there’s room for improvement with this Rover. I wanted to leave a tip but had to go through the survey first. I sort of rushed through that giving 5 stars so I could get the tip in before I had time to get a good feel for how it went. If I could edit my survey I would likely give 2 or 3 stars at best. I came to find out that my dog had very short walks which likely contributed to his pooping inside, something the dog sitter failed to mention. She also arrived after I left and departed before I got home. I also noticed that the dog bowl in use the day I left was used the entire weekend without being cleaned. I gave her (and her husband) an oceanfront residence and paid THEM to take care of my dog, not engage in a staycation. They definitely came up short. There was almost no communication other than very brief texts with a picture of my dog each day. By contrast, I get a half dozen pictures from my other dog walking business. Thought I compare with Rover, but not likely to try Rover again unless they add a function to edit reviews because Ally M. should not be taking jobs she has no interest in.

great experiences in San Diego and Coachella valley
I used several rover dog sitters in palm desert area as sell as ocean beach San Diego. All of them were amazing and friendly and my dog was well cared for. I went with people who had a lot of reviews and high ratings.

I’ll see what I’ve said several other times and that’s that the service fees that you add on certainly make Rover much more expensive. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Good choices and experiences
Choosing a trusted pet sitter who is kind and experienced tht my 2 dogs took a great liking to her and her family. Rover App is easy to start and complete and provides good communication between sitter and client

Rover is great
Rover is great! Every time I've need to leave town I was able to set my dog up a sitter. I usually use the same 2 or 3 but if all they schedules are booked, it's easy to find another sitter. All have communicated well with me and all have sent me pics of my dog when I'm away.

Excellent experiences with Rover for cat sitting
I have had two excellent experiences using Rover to book drop-in visits with my cats when on vacation, and have just rebooked for a third trip. I love how easy the app makes it to get regular updates and photos.
