WARNING: RentRedi's CEO is their payment processor, not a human being. Here's my story and why I'm saying this: I have been a short term rental property manager of 16 properties for 11 years. I have also been a realtor for 4 years and an investor for 5 years. I just decided to make one of my STR's into a long term rental. I had heard good things about RentRedi, so I decided to use their platform. I created an account, uploaded the lease, all tenant information, and synced my bank on a Tuesday and I was hoping to collect rent that same day or the next day since it was the 2nd of the month. They told me it would take 1-3 business days to approve my bank for payments. They asked me to upload mortgage docs proving ownership, so I did so on Wednesday. On Thursday I got the same message, so I uploaded the docs again. By Friday, 4 business days later, my bank account still wasn't approved and I still couldn't collect rent. If I had to wait until Monday then I would be behind on my mortgage payment, so I decided to cancel the rent payment and have my tenant pay me directly this month until RentRedi could get its act together. Instead, they banned me from the system forever. I explained to them what happened, but they said no matter what I said it didn't matter. They said their payment processor made the decision, they have no way of knowing why it made that decision, and they have no power to override their system's decision. So the ultimate decision maker for RentRedi is their payment processor, not a human being. Thus, I cannot and will not trust this business to be a platform for my rental portfolio. A company that is not able to override their own system after understanding the full human circumstance is not a company I respect or want to do business with. Humans always trump AI and processing systems.
