Run away
Don't walk away, run! Tried ordering a silver Army coin for my son, and after they took my order, got an email the next day saying after an internal review my order was being cancelled, say what??? Instantly called their number, person that answered said yes, that's also what I'm seeing. OK, WHY??? 'Oh, I don't know, I'm only seeing what you are. ??? Well, why would my order be cancelled, and why if you're customer service you have no answers???? I'm sorry, I'm just seeing exactly what you are, but if I had to guess, I'd say they probably want direct wire information to your checking account! Say what, $112. order placed on a charge card with plenty of space, and you want direct access to my checking account, WTF!!!!! I will be filing a complaint, or several, against this scam!

Item has showed shipped for nearly 2…
Item has showed shipped for nearly 2 weeks on there website. I finally received a tracking# 3 days ago and shipment has been sitting in label created. I wonder if they are waiting for lower market prices to obtain my products and then ship. I will give them 2 more days and then request a chargeback.

There was a fraudulent purchase
There was a fraudulent purchase. After 3 calls, I was able to get the purchase cancelled and received an email that I would receive a refund within 3-5 business days. As of 2 weeks, I have not received the refund and was told I had to take the issue up with my credit card company which I have. So, why did I receive an email from Provident stating I would, receive a refund. Apparently, that is just a form email when an order is cancelled. This is no way to do business and the reps I spoke to were of no help

Will never use them again
Will never use them again. Service is extremely slow for today's online commerce where overnight transactions and deliveries are standard, and their tracking system is inaccurate. Excuse after excuse. Never again.

Never use ACH, Terms and conditions on Missing Shipments not honored
I’ve used Provident Metals for years without issues, but something has definitely changed.If you’re considering paying by ACH, don’t. You have zero protection and Provident does not honor the Terms & Conditions you agree to when placing an order.My package went missing while in FedEx custody an entire 3 states away. Provident filed the required claims (with FedEx and their insurer), and their Terms clearly state that “once the claim is filed,” they may reship or refund. Instead, they refused to do either and told me I must wait until their insurer approves the claim, which can take months if at all — something that is not stated anywhere in their Terms.I theorize the reason for this "change" is their insurance company is delaying/denying valid claims, so Provident is leaving customers stuck with the loss against their terms. When you pay by ACH, you have no chargeback rights and no recourse.Because of how this has been handled, I have filed formal complaints with the Texas Attorney General, my states Attorney General, and the BBB, and I will pursue this in small claims court if necessary.If anyone else has experienced similar issues, I strongly recommend you do the same.If you buy from Provident at all, use a credit card only so you have at least some protection. I trusted them to follow their own written policies, and I’m now out a significant amount of money on a stolen shipment.Really disappointing. I won’t be purchasing from them again.

Never again
Never again. The first time I tried this company (owned by JM Bullion, oddly enough...why not just sell as JM Bullion?) they cancelled my order without explanation. I unwisely decided to give them another chance, this time with a much much larger order. Big big mistake. The market then took off, and my purchase made gains of many thousands of dollars. Instead of sending my metals in a timely fashion so I could possibly sell it at a profit they sat on it until the market dropped and now I'm deep in the red. Typical non-responses from "customer service", telling me they had no idea when they would ship a $60,000 order. If I spend 60 grand with you, you'd better be able to tell me when I'm receiving my purchases and not just blow me off. Unprofessional, at best. Their parent company is no better. I have made large purchases from JM Bullion only to receive bars advertised as new when they were definitely secondary market, which JM Bullion would not correct. Best to avoid these two companies altogether.

I purchased 10 ounces of silver not a big order but it was on May 17th nearly a month ago, I have sent two questions pertaining to the order the people at Provident have not responded ti either, I will NEVER deal with provident metals again. I have purchased hundreds of ounces over the years, they seem to be pretty horrible to deal with now days?

I’ve purchased silver and gold bars from Provident Metals over the last 7 years. I guess this stream of purchases set me up for the con. I recently bought a 1 oz Italpreziosi Gold Bar (New w/ Assay) from Provident recently. The bar looks as though it was retrieved from a ship wreck. The assay card was peeled off even in the corners and the bar itself looked like it was beat up.They were willing to honor their return policy but it had so many conditions and steps I gave up. Be careful if you buy any bar from Provident especially if it’s over $2000- you may get ripped off.

I just received my first shipment of silver krugerrands this morning, everything came packaged perfectly, the coins are perfect and shipping was as promised. I love the coins and will definitely order again.
