Be aware if you need help...
Our experience is a little complicated and may not be typical, but we feel like we were just left out there with no help. And, I have quite bit of experience with payroll! We had an old Texas unemployment account from an old employee. We then went several years without an employee. Then we hired an employee. In the interim, Texas inactivated our old TWC account. It was not easy for us to get a new TWC account - we had to work directly with Texas and it took multiple calls and emails. This all caused us to have to run payroll without having our taxes fully setup. If your taxes are not fully setup, Patriot does not do any of your taxes. So, you are stuck having to do the federal and state tax filings and withholdings for that time period. They do not even offer an add-on service that you can pay them to do it. We were completely on our own with respect to resolving the Texas account issue and we are completely on our own with respect to getting those federal tax filings and state tax filings done. We were also on our own with respect to figuring out that the issue was that there had been an account number change. We would have happily paid for help. We knew our situation was complicated, but there was no help to be had. At this point, I wish we had gone with a more robust payroll service.

Our transition to PS was easy and went…
Our transition to PS was easy and went smoothly. I was concerned about successfully transferring data from our previous provider but there were no issues. Additionally, a customer rep was available within a realistic hold time to answer all my questions. They were reassuring and I never felt rushed. I wish I made the move sooner!

The girl I spoke with was EXTREMELY…
The girl I spoke with was EXTREMELY helpful and very kind. My only Problem is that there are no weekend hours. Even if there was a half day on Saturday or something would be very helpful as I do a lot of my stuff on the weekends, and I run into things sometimes that would be great to be able to call and speak to someone. However, your help files appear to be well-maintained.

Great: Payroll is working great and easyGreat: US Based customer serviceBad: Accounting looks dated after wavesapps and other more user-friendly and automated services. You cant even make a rule to assign vendor automatically, only category and if transaction from vendor like Amazon have different numbers and letters at the end - their "automation" will not assign it and you will have manually go through every single transaction every single day :(
