Absolutely awful experience....

Absolutely awful experience men hanging around outside very intimidating. Curtains hanging off worn carpets bathroom disgusting dirty broken parts toilet didnt flush properly. Paid £226.80 not even worth half that and plus parking. Do not recommend. Even review response back just said usual sorry they will look into it- no compensation. Then other reviews stated negative too clearly not taking any action at all

I had a terrible stay at their Chelsea…

I had a terrible stay at their Chelsea Harbour hotel. Harassed by the staff to leave just gone 11am even though our reservation email said check out was 12. Reception just shrugged "were not charging you extra"! Rooms unclean, sink cracked, windows so dirty you can't see out, wardrobe broken. Facilities at pool did not work. Breakfast a shambles, no cutlery, no coffee and harassed to leave at 10:25. I have asked for a refund but they refuse, telling me I am in the wrong, firstly because although the email they sent me says 12 somewhere on their website it says 11 so they have the right to hassle me. As for the other matters they view these as acceptable for their hotel. So if you, like them, think unclean rooms with broken sinks and wardrobes is acceptable, then its ideal. If on the otherhand you have some sanity, for goodness sake don't stay.

Not a hotel that cares about its…

Not a hotel that cares about its customers Heading back to the Copthorne Newcastle for yet another visit, to spend time with my family who I meet every year. It’s a shame that a hotel that “could” be amazing is actually awful. My sisters paid for the executive suite last year which was disgraceful. There was dust everywhere and what furniture wasn’t stained or damaged. Was old fashioned and very depressing. She even found a half eaten chocolate stuck to the side of the bed. You’d think the prices they charge, they might plough some of the money back into making the hotel presentable. My sisters pays for my visit for my birthday. And with her being from the center of London, where hotels are ultra expensive. Trying to explain that the Copthorne are taking her eyes out without sounding ungrateful. Is very hard. My sister loves the fact the hotel faces the River and the views looking out the windows are lovely. So I just have to endure this hell for another week. Now to the absolute nerve of the Copthorne to charge paying customers £12.50 for 24 hours parking is disgraceful. When they should really be allowing free parking for people who pay to stay at there hotel.I will be taking photos this year and will make a point of going out my way to report this hotel. If Copthorne wants to offer a basic/budget hotel. Then they should charge customers accordingly

Blood and vomit stains on hotel beds

Booked a pricy hotel room but ended up with a dirty hotel bed with old blood stains and what looked like vomit stains. I have a lot of pictures.

Great value good position for windsor but ?

Windsor hotels were full for horse show so stayed at the copthorne hotel which is anout 2 miles straight drive into windsor with free parking and free coffee and a snack every day the inclusive buffet breakfast was english style but a little tired most of the guests and staff were Indian but all very helpful and pleasant but as a smoker i wouldn’t go back as there only smoking area was by some dustbins with no seats . However great value with typical hotel rooms but only cleaned if you put the door notice out

I stayed at The Grand Millennium…

I stayed at The Grand Millennium 21/05/2025 on my birthday The reception didn't acknowledge my birthday I registered at Grand millennium website I selected 2 nights stay including breakfast for both days the staff at reception said I booked for one night not 2 nights all I know I selected 2 nights at the website, the at reception were very welcoming. The room I purchased for $289.00 was not a 4 star room no USB plugs the room look it was stuck in the 1970's colour pallet I was upgraded to two double beds I did not receive breakfast or any information from receptionist about breakfast, I received from the receptionist a quick drive my car into carpark I didn't quite catch everything the receptionist said finally work it. The sink in the bathroom has green algae around top edge of bathroom sink I mentioned this the nights manager who place my wife and I into what he called a sweet another colour pallet from the 1970's the bathroom sink also had green algae around the top of the sink. I emailed grand millennium cancelling our 2nd night stay at Grand millennium I received a refund of my 2nd nights fee and because the green algae receive $25 carpark fee refund now I also was asking to pay $100 dollar bond for which I was told would take UpTo 5 days to be released back I to my bank account its the banks that slow this process down I fail to understand why a hotel would treat guest in this way I am not allowed to make the hotel wait for $100.00 bond so why does the hotel inconvenience it's guest in this mana. I am not very impressed with the Grand Millennium for a hotel that is part of a 136 hotel chain very disappointing the Grand Millennium rating should be down graded from a 4 star to 2 star the grand millennium maybe was a 4 star 1970's but not now as we are in 2025 and the staff at reception need to be re trained in making guest welcome and that special welcome as the attitude felt flat and un- welcoming. I am going to post my review at Google maps, Trust Pilot and other review websites as the grand millennium had not problem taking my hard earned money and a 4 star price with a 2 star reality now I have started reviewing more & more business as there seems to be a attitude with bigger chains the customer is wrong I would like to say no we are not wrong. #2starrating #review #poor

Millennium Hotels Globally Lack Professional Standards

A Consistent Pattern of Disappointment – Millennium Hotels Globally Lack Professional StandardsAs an international conference organiser with over a decade of experience delivering high-level events across the UK, Europe, and the US, we have worked with hundreds of venues. Unfortunately, Millennium Hotels – including the Millennium Gloucester, the Copthorne Tara in London, and their Nashville property – continue to fall well below industry standards in service, professionalism, and operational reliability.Millennium Gloucester Hotel, LondonAn agreement was made to hold our space on first option in February of 2025 for a major conference in November 2025. This was confirmed in writing and understood to be a secured first option – standard industry practice. Despite this, the hotel sold the space to another party without notifying us or offering us the right of first refusal. While the Cromwell Suite itself is a functional event space, the hotel's team lacks the professionalism, communication skills, and strategic thinking required for long-term partnerships. We had previously stopped working with Millennium Hotels due to poor experiences but decided to give them a second chance. Sadly, that decision proved to be a mistake.Copthorne Tara Hotel, LondonFrom 2014 to 2022, we hosted numerous conferences at the Copthorne Tara. Pre-COVID, the operational team was excellent – we had known some of the staff for over a decade and appreciated their professionalism and support. However, following the pandemic, the service quality deteriorated dramatically. The experienced team left, and what replaced them was high staff turnover, poor communication, and a visible decline in operational standards, cleanliness, and support. Despite the hotel's competitive pricing, the value simply no longer exists due to these shortcomings.Millennium Maxwell House, Nashville (USA)Our experience in Nashville was unacceptable by any standard. Delegates reported cockroaches in rooms – including live insects found in beds. Food quality was poor and frequently undercooked, raising significant hygiene concerns. We reported these issues to the local authorities and sought compensation, but there was no one within the hotel or the broader Millennium organisation with the authority, professionalism, or even basic customer service skills to address the complaint. The entire experience was an embarrassment to us as organisers and to our attendees.Final AssessmentMillennium Hotels may offer large conference spaces that initially seem appealing to event organisers, but this is where the value ends. In our experience, the group lacks the vision, training, leadership, and service ethos necessary to support professional events. Their failure to uphold basic industry practices and respect long-term clients makes them an unreliable partner in any region. We strongly advise other conference organisers to exercise caution and consider alternative venues with better operational track records and a commitment to professional service.
