10% of Customer Base Wiped Clean

Just found out they have wiped out 10% of our customer database. A specific email carrier was seeing their emails as spam - this resulted in two consecutive "soft" bounces that Mailchimp turns into a "hard bounce". Oddly, this makes it impossible to add the email back into their system, it is forever banned unless you get the customer to fill out forms (yep, good luck with that). Even better is the customer service, on two occasions they told me they would re-add the list (had to follow up after nothing done after the first promise). Three weeks after second promise that it would be done I follow up for the 3rd time. Their response? Oh, we can't do that - sorry. Yep, thanks for letting me know that you weren't going to do it, and thanks for the incredible experience of having a flaw in your program cause me to lose months worth of customer adds.

If i could give it minus I would - AVOID

Customer service and support that has no clue about what either are. I ended up having to google and watch you tube videos after spending over an hour on the chat with not one but two idiots!Neither had a clue what they were doing, kept telling me they'd escalated to a manager when neither Lee or KK had done either and both didn't have a clue what they were doing. Complete waste of time and am now looking for an alternative provider for all my clients.

Awful platform and not user friendly

Awful platform and not user friendly! I did not go on past my trial and would never recommend this. The site is poorly laid out and you are bombarded with add on subscriptions at every point. It's not clear how to do certain tasks like forms for example. There are much better services online, some free for 1000 subscribers that are so much easier and intuitive to use

Awful vile company

Awful vile company. Least favourite provider that we’ve spent the most money on. The whole team spent years despising Mailchimp with its insane rip off pricing and awful support.

Poor Service Experience: DMARC Issue, No Unsubscribe Option, and Unresponsive Support

I couldn't use the service due to a DMARC issue. There is no unsubscribe option available. I tried to speak with an agent, but no one replied.

After paying Mailchimp for years

After paying Mailchimp for years, I ended up spending around $126/month for a list of only ~1,000 contacts that I generated from my own web-site. That alone is hard to justify, but the bigger issue is how unstable and restrictive the platform becomes when you try to actually grow. The moment I expanded into SMS for a completely legal Canadian cannabis business, my account was flagged, workflows became unreliable, and I was left dealing with compliance friction after already investing time building automations and signup systems. There was no clear upfront warning that this use case would be a problem. So not only is the platform overpriced, it’s also inconsistent and risky for certain industries. You can build on it for years and still end up forced to migrate with little notice. For small businesses, especially in regulated markets, this is not a dependable platform. You’re paying premium pricing for something that can turn into a liability overnight.
