I have purchased several items from Macy’s in the last year. Because of this, a friend of mine gave me a $50 Macy’s gift card. What I ordered I did not like so I shipped it back even with the restocking fee of $9.99 which is BS anyway but whatever…It is April 1 and I still have not gotten credit at $66. I called last week and was told that my gift card would be released because it was secured which is also BS and that I should receive it soon. After.watching for it for a week, I called back. Despite what I was told last time, they were actually able to put it back on my Mastercard. Now I wait 7 to 10 days for my $66 credit, which I was told as the time it takes to process it. Kind of funny that they can process it the minute you order it but to get your money back it’s gonna take me 7 to 10 more days so now they’ve had my money for like two months. I’m glad they went ahead and put it on my card and didn’t send me a gift card since I will never shop there again. And if I don’t receive my credit in 7-10 business days, I’m going to call back again and ask for “Jane” 🙄

I open the account just to get an extra percentage off of my large purchase on March 1, 2026. The sales person called me back on the following Monday and said that my selection had to be canceled by them because the material for the furniture is no longer available. I would have to come in again make another selection for the furniture, which I did on March 7, 2026.  I probably at that time that the account transaction had not been canceled! There is a nonrefundable deposit fee for each special order and you’re charging me $875 for the first order that they canceled. I asked him to fix it. They said it would take them two billing periods. I’ve been to the store several times to try to get them to correctly, even spoke to somebody in their credit department that handles this and still telling him he’s gonna take them two billing cycle to repair this. This is unacceptable to me because the account balance exceeded the acceptable limit by Credit Reporting a more than 30% of balance to two transaction and a credit score dropped as a result of this reporting of the extra money that I don’t owe! I have spent over 12 hours either in person or on the phone trying to resolve this matter and I keep getting the same runaround! I recommend don’t do business with Macy’s Credit, if it wasn’t for my wife not wanting this furniture, I would’ve canceled it all and tell them to shove it where the sun don’t shine!!! I had a conversation with one of six representative. I’ve talked to you today who did not answer any questions I asked, and I got Fedx up and just asked her to transfer me to the survey as recording initially said when I call, she didn’t transfer me. She hung up on me because she knew she was gonna get a bad survey!

I feel a bit conflicted writing this, but after the long wait and the effort it took to secure these 'free samples,' I’m extremely disappointed. It used to be so simple to get perfume samples from Macy’s; now, you have to jump through endless social media hoops just to qualify. I was ecstatic when I finally got the confirmation, but the samples I received were 3/4 empty—literally enough for two sprays. Is this the new standard for Macy’s? It's hard to justify the effort when the reward is this underwhelming. I wish I could post pictures!

I placed an order that was expensive for a women's dress jacket and matching slacks on 03-15-2026 in good faith, trusting that a well established retailer like Macy's would be dependable when it comes to placing an online order. I have been tracking this order for two weeks now, with the updates changing from expected date of 3-20-2026 originally, and continually getting pushed forward a day each day. It went from that to the status being "expected date of arrival being such and such date", to "no status avaiable-awaiting shipment." I finally gave up and tried to call the customer service number listed, of course it's automated and you are not able to reach a live agent, and got no resolution for my issue. Next I tried the online chat, it starts out with a bot, but when you finish with that are given the option to chat with a live agent. I finally got to do that, the person was nice enough and said they would generate a refund, as I certainly don't have any faith after 2 weeks that door dash will get the order to me. Why in the world is Macy's using door dash for delivering clothing??? Unheard of. Anyway, todays date is 03-28-2026, the agent assured me I would receive the refund within 48-72 hours and would also receive an email confirmation showing all the details. We will see if this actually happens, they have over $120.00 of my funds, and nothing from the order was ever received, at this point just hoping beyond hope to get my money back. I surely had more faith in Macy's to do a better job with online orders in this day and age but looks like I will be going back to Amazon for everything I need. Just wanted to help anyone else be aware of what you are may be dealing with if you order online from Macy's, thank you for your time.

I never picked up this item from the Macy’s at Newport Mall, Jersey City, but it was incorrectly marked as “picked up.” I contacted customer service about the error and was told they would investigate and respond within 48 hours. My refund has still not been processed, which is very frustrating. I hope Macy’s resolves this quickly, as this experience has been stressful and inconvenient.

Truly terrible customer service. I bought a suit and it came with no pants. It's taken four calls to resolve the issue and twice now agents have lied about what they would do. I'll never shop from Macy's again.

I gave up on Macys but was in a rush ended up in the king of Prussia mall location the staff was super helped me find a suite in a rush, applied a looked panicked discount and even let me change in store. This 1 experience and they’ve earned my business for years to come
