I had a positive experience with Lenovo support overall. My Lenovo LOQ developed a serious fault and sparked, with a smell of smoke, before failing to power on. Once I reported this, Lenovo responded promptly and handled it in a professional and reassuring way. They made it clear that safety was the priority, advised me not to try powering the laptop on again, and quickly explained what they needed from me next to move the case forward. The communication was polite and helpful, and I appreciated that they treated the issue seriously rather than dismissing it as routine troubleshooting. My only criticism is that, after repair, it appeared the motherboard had been replaced but the SSD had not been reset properly for the new hardware, which caused a problem activating Windows 11. I was able to sort this myself by restoring it to factory settings and going through the first boot setup again, but a less technical user might have struggled with that.Even with that issue, I was impressed with how seriously Lenovo took the original fault and how professionally they handled the case.

Purchased Lenovo IdeaPad in January 2025, the warranty just expired and now the screen can't close properly - it is a hardware fault, but reading all the other reviews it seems suspicious how things go wrong shortly after the warranty expires. The communication with Lenovo, it sends you round in circles with virtual assistants, which is not helpful - only directs you to expensive warranty reinstation - but reading other reviews, this is probably a waste of money, if there is no guarantee they actually repair the fault to a satisfactory result...and lasting result. Not happy. Thought they were suppose to be a reputable company.

Lenovo are without doubt the worst company I've ever dealt with. The drama I had to go through to get a refund was beyond belief, taking a total of seven weeks. If you're ever thinking of buying something from this company, my advice would be a definite no. If something goes wrong, you're just going to be left in the lurch with hopeless and incompetent customer service who border on, in my opinion, the criminal for their dishonesty. Finally got my refund after 7 weeks of pure agony. Steer clear at all costs.

Lenovo and Laptops Direct misled me on their website in that I could claim £75 cashback from Lenovo as a business customer if I purchased a Lenovo Laptop computer from them. Doing so is not as easy as Laptops Direct's website would have people believe. Having supplied all the relevant information to Lenovo to prove beyond doubt that I am a legitimate UK business, I repeatedly kept getting fobbed off by Lenovo requesting more information. Lenovo now refuse to issue any £75 cashback because Laptops Direct put my name and not my business's name - even though my name is part of the business name - on the original invoice, despite me since providing proof that I am a legitimate business owner and the invoice was paid from my business account. Lenovo have asked for an invoice in the business name but Laptops Direct are now refusing to reissue the invoice in my business name. Using misleading offers gives both Laptops direct and Lenovo an unfair advantage over other sellers who do not use these underhand sales tactics.

I ordered a Lenovo Legion computer on the 14th of November, which I then proceeded to return a couple of weeks later because it didn't meet my requirements. I returned the computer via Yodel, one of their logistics providers, and deposited the computer in the shop that was a partner shop with Yodel. Because it made me feel uncomfortable that there was not a clear custody chain for a very valuable item such as a computer that was deposited effectively in a basket in a corner of the partner shop after receiving the receipt for the computer. I also took a video of me putting the computer in the box, checking that it was there when I closed the box, and then depositing the computer on the basket in the corner of the shop. A couple of weeks later I received the refund for the software portion of the order. Some ancillary software that I had purchased with a computer but I never received the refund with a computer, which was £1,000 plus. I called customer support many times and it took them at least a couple of months to locate the computer. They didn't know if the logistics provider had returned it or not. They couldn't find it in their warehouses, etc. and when it appeared nearly three months later in the month of March, they found that the box was filled with scraps, not with the computer itself. Of course having had such a poor custody chain, meaning that the computer was left unattended in a basket in the corner shop. Again this was after me delivering and getting a receipt so this is Yodel's responsibility and therefore Lenovo is accountable for this because they selected Yodel as a partner for logistics. Also it could have been stolen while in Yodel's and/or Lenovo's warehouses, given that the box was essentially missing for three months. I have kept on calling the customer support services for three or four months and have now basically provided the evidence that I captured, including the receipt for sending the computer and the video of me packing the computer in the box and putting it in the corner of the shop. So far I have not received a refund and they have not confirmed whether they would provide a refund or not. It's been at least two or three weeks since the box was found and the evidence was provided. I'd expect a refund to be provided, given that I fulfilled the return process correctly and the computer was returned correctly. I think Lenovo is accountable for this. At the very least if Lenovo is not able to guarantee that custody chain via the logistics partner Yodel, they provide a disclaimer about this so that we can sort of take the necessary action on our end to choose the safest return option. Overall this is absolutely terrible customer support from Lenovo.

Appalling company. Like everyone else here, the hardware is of terrible quality and yet the Warranty seems to cover nothing. Our laptop suffered from loose and then non-working keys within two months of purchase, but Lenovo has claimed it's "Customer Induced Damage" (completely untrue) and not covered under warranty. They have also claimed we signed away our rights in law when we bought the laptop. This is actually incorrect and illegal, because you cannot waive your consumer rights in law. The customer service experience is horrible and their build quality is absolutely awful. If you read the rest of the reviews here, it's hard to conclude it is anything but a scam company. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I had a Lenovo Chromebook which was barely 10 months old on which the hinge broke away from the lid. I contacted Lenovo and over several emails and they said that this was not covered under their warranty. This was despite me reminding them that under The Consumer Rights Act 2015 "Goods should be of satisfactory quality and should be fit for particular purpose". I suggested that the Chromebook was neither of these but they still refused to even look at the device. I wonder what they do cover under their warranty?

The returns process for a product under warranty is extremely bad. Poor communication, unreasonably slow. In fact, nearly a week on they still can't send me out the details of the return process and for a company this size its acting like a small operator. Quite embarrassing really. I would not buy their products again, I have gone to MSI, much better communicaiton.

Purchased a Lenovo laptop 18 months ago, for personal use so doesn't get a great deal of use. This week it literally fell apart on my lap, hinge broke, screen frame came away and then the screen fell out. Called customer service, they were not interested. I expect a laptop structurally to last a lot longer than 18 months making the construction quality clearly not fit for purpose.
