I just got a billed a hefty amount for an app I haven't used since trial began in December. I even canceled the trial on March 11 yet they billed me. The most scammy part is that you cannot access your profile because the wheel function does not work (took a screen shot). Hence I do not know under which email this trial began and I searched all of my emails, no trace of headspace. This is beyond scammy.

PREDATORY business. I signed up for the free trial and during that time I decided I did not want the service. They did not send an email to warn me that my trial was ending and that my card would be charged $69.99. They say they sent an email but I can't find it and never saw it. Upon receiving an email receipt with the $69.99 charge I IMMEDIATELY reached out to tell them I did not want the service and was not informed my trial was up. They said sorry but we can go ahead and cancel the renewal so you won't be charged again NEXT YEAR. What about this year? That's a lot of money for some people. I don't want the service. I feel scammed.

I thought I'd cancelled my subscription 2 years ago after they automatically renewed without informing me. Have suddenly started getting emails again and latest one says they will take payment for renewal when I don't even have a subscription! Went to website my account is showing as active and linked to my PayPal account. I've cancelled again - but this feels like harrassment.

They kicked me off the app because I have my own therapist and only wanted to use their meditation. Terrible customer service. When their coach quit, they forgot to disable their account, leaving me in the lurch through 2 appointments. DO NOT USE

I'm glad that the absolute nightmare I had to try to log in prevented me from starting the subscription. Now I've read other people's reviews it seems I doged a bullet. Terrible app!

Terrible experience. The content is superficial and a cheap commercialization of mindfulness. UI is messy and it is impossible to track anything or follow anything but individual sessions, which all seem to be designed for digital children. I gave up on the app, but my subscription was suddenly extended without any warning. They claim there must be an email, couldn't find it in any filters. Contacted them immediately, explained that I am Ill and unable to work atm, they still said they couldn't help me and kept my money.App is the opposite of what you need, if you are looking for mindfulness. It is time, attention and money drain.

I tried for over a month to cancel a yearly subscription to the Headspace app. I reached out to Headspace several times in advance, advising I wanted this subscription cancelled. They would not help me, stating that I bought it via Google Play store. Yet no subscriptions were showing on my Google account. I tried to cancel through the Headspace app, but all I got was a message saying no subscriptions, or was directed back to the play store - where of course, there were no subscriptions! I tried via my Paypal account since it came up as Paypal under previous bank statements - nothing visible. I tried via my Yahoo email address as this is the email address associated with my Headspace account - nothing. I logged in to two separate bank accounts from which they had previously taken payment and no recurring payments were showing. This was all after attempting to contact Google Pay, since there is no clear contact information for them, just AI chatbots. I did all I could, and again advised Headspace of all of this - very clearly stating (with plenty of time before the payment was due) that I did not want that money leaving my account. They refused to help me, stating Google Pay manage the payment and I can only cancel through them - oh, and that they wouldn't refund me once the payment did go through, as per a link to their terms and conditions! What their terms and conditions DON'T say is that they can continue to charge customers for a subscription they no longer want and are, inexplicably unable to cancel...!No one appears able to find this phantom subscription, yet it clearly exists because I've been paying for it (willingly) for years, and surprise surprise, they've never had any issues taking the money.I was left with no other option but to phone my bank to get them to block the upcoming payment. They were very helpful and advised they had put a block on this payment for 13 months. This did not stop them. The money was still taken from my account yesterday, and upon calling my bank to inquire, it seems the company altered their name slightly by adding an asterisk so as to avoid the block. Debit resolution advised me there is nothing they can do until the subscription is cancelled (!) Apparently the payment is not listed as a subscription, only as a routine transaction. Presumably this is how they get away with holding people to a subscription they no longer want.I have still been charged, despite multiple requests and attempts to cancel. For a meditation app promoting calm and positive mental health, this experience has caused me extreme anger, frustration, stress, and financial anxiety. Not only is it an unacceptable way to do business, it is literal theft.

Never found it that good and ultimately stopped using it. Then they auto-renewed me and would not issue a refund. I discovered the charge in less than 24 hrs.

The company that own this app is billing the virtual therapy visits under the physical company in California in which I’m physically located in TX, if you aren’t in California I would advise not using them….. I have virtual therapy visits at a $0 copay but ended up having to pay over $300 because they don’t have a actual number to call and speak to a live person to correct the billing issue……save yourself a headache and save yourself money because this company is billing virtually visits as in person visits!!!!!
