I hold ZERO faith that a) Freshbooks will even listen to me (they have ignored me for years) and b) actually take the advice to improve the product (I've been told "but that's how it works, do this instead..." with zero impetus to act on feature improvements, instead, leaving us product users, lumped with an (objectively) shitty User Interface that results in bad User Experience.First issue - I want to see all of the invoices related to a Client under the Client dashboard, in the Invoices tab. I DO NOT want to have to go back to the main Invoices page and use the awful search and filter facility to do this. It MAKES SENSE that ALL invoices for a client should be on their Invoices tab - NOT JUST draft invoices yet to be sent. For goodness sake, please make this happen. The search/filter facility IS GARBAGE and WASTES MY TIME! Second issue - still (after many, many, many years) there is no facility to import timesheets. Which is quite simply baffling!!!!! My cries have fallen on deaf ears, so I hold absolutely zero hope that anyone at Freshbooks, even gives a damn at this point.Freshbooks don't give shit.#FedUpWithFreshbooks

I've been over this multiple times with different customer support reps. The answers are always disappointing and remind me how futile it is to suggest improvements to Freshbooks.I wanted to submit a Feature Request to the development roadmap, since my past requests about this have been brushed off every time. The ignorance and discarding of feature improvements is practically contempt for your customers. The invoice search facility has an objectively bad User Interface and is a terrible User Experience. And I should know, as UI/UX is my job as a web designer!Consider these differences between the two methods:-Client Specific Invoice Tab:Step 1. Click ClientsStep 2. Click Client A - Invoices tab is the first visible tab, immediately showing me all Invoices sent to the Client. This would be wonderful! This is not clutter!! This is EASILY ACCESSIBLE, VALUABLE INFORMATION and SAVES ME TIME!If this tab had a dropdown selector to pick the Invoice status, wow, what a massive improvement it would be! In less than 3 or 4 clicks, I'd have all the client's invoices right in front of me.Now consider this abomination...Invoices Page:Step 1: Click InvoicesStep 2: Click into Search fieldStep 3: Start typing client ref - results below filter all invoices by search termStep 4: Click Advanced SearchStep 5: Click Client fieldStep 6: Begin typing client referenceStep 7: Pick filtered ClientStep 8: Click Date Range fieldStep 9: Click All TimeStep 10: Click desired Date Range e.g. Last YearStep 11: Click Apply (for Date Range)Step 12: Click Apply again (for Search Results)Now if I want to find the client's invoices from this year, Step 13: Click Filter AppliedStep 14: Click Date Range fieldStep 15: Click Last Year to select new rangeStep 16: Click 90 DaysStep 17: Click Apply (for Date Range)Step 18: Click Apply again (for Search Results)Clearly this is totally awful and is a colossal waste of time!! AT LEAST 12 STEPS to get a big picture overview of the invoices for a specific client.PLEASE! For the love of sanity and good things in the world, FIX THIS!!I won't hold my breath. Why do Freshbooks hate their customers?

I run a small one person business and I've been using FreshBooks for 2 years. For $21 a month, I was limited to 5 vendors which was okay at first. I would have to upgrade to $70 a month to add 1 more vendor. That's too much for me.

I’ve been using FreshBooks for a few years now. While it’s generally a decent platform, I’ve experienced occasional glitches and have noticed a steady increase in pricing over time. What’s most disappointing is that I recently discovered I’ve been billed in USD instead of CAD. When I reached out, I was told they would only adjust the most recent invoice and not the previous ones due to their policy. This seems to be a recurring issue rather than a one-time mistake, which is concerning. Overall, my experience has been mixed, and this situation has significantly impacted my trust in the service.

I’m canceling my subscription due to the continuous price increases over the years. When I first started using FreshBooks, the plan was around $25 per month. Over time it increased to $30, then $33, then $38, and now I’m being notified that it will increase again to approximately $45 per month starting next month. What is most frustrating is that all of these increases happened while I have remained on the exact same plan the entire time. I have never upgraded to a higher tier or added additional services. For a small business like mine, this pattern of price increases without any change in the plan makes it difficult to justify continuing the subscription. In addition, I only use a limited portion of the platform’s features and have far fewer active clients than the plan allows. While I appreciate the service FreshBooks provides, the pricing has gradually become disproportionate to the value I actually receive from it. Unfortunately, these ongoing increases make it financially unreasonable for me to continue, so I’ve decided to move to a different solution that better fits the needs and scale of my business.
