I bought a coachman acadia 545 with a dometic rm 10 fridge, 13 month later the freezer compartment stopped working, contacted coachman, not our problem, warranty was with dometic not coachman, contacted dometic they said the same, warranty was with coachman not them, after much aggravation dometic finally relented and told me to take the caravan to the dealership where I bought it leasureworld in york, (200 miles round trip) they would fix it, 3 weeks later, rang them to be told nothing had been done, rang leasureworld in catterick ( their head office) they said they would collect the van from york and take it to catterick and do the warranty work in their workshop.3 month later rang them, they had not touched it and had no intention of doing so because they would not be payed to do it, rang dometic again and they agreed to send a new innards for the fridge to my service engineer in stockport.This they did and the new part was fitted in February 2023 ( van is now 19 months old) the fridge never worked properly after that.Rang dometic again, they then told me to take the van to their service centre in tewksbury Worcestershire for a diagnosis, this I did, (a round trip of 275 miles) to. Be told the new innards were faulty and would need to be replaced, they put one on order and expect a delivery in about 6 weeks.Got a call to say the new innards had arrived and a date booked to have it fitted in tewsbury, so off to tewksbury I go again ( 275 mile round trip).1st trip out, bought some frozen food, put it in the freezer compartment and guess what? Yes it defrosted overnight with the setting on full.The caravan is now 4 and a half years old only used a maximum of 10 outings and a fridge that is really an expensive paper weight.I have now got to replace the fridge at my own expense, but it will not be a dometic.

Company does not cover manufacturing defects. Any type of defects or issues they tell you SOL. Will not work with customers for replacements. Worst company ever.

Dometic replied to my review, confirming that they could not care less!!! Disgraceful company!!!I have the misfortune of owning a Dometic 3 way refrigerator. A very expensive appliance, but unfortunately it is never working due to a design fault. The electronic PCB board located between the fridge and freezer door keeps failing (already 3 failed PCBs) due to condensation and moisture ingress in the electronics. It is already the 3rd time it fails. Always for the same reason. And what's worse is that Dometic seeks to profiteer from this design fault and has sealed the PCB so it cannot be repaired. And it sells the replacement PCB at the exorbitant price of over $500AUD. Make no mistake, this is a company that doesn't care about its customers. AVOID BUYING DOMETIC PRODUCTSSo Dometic just replied to say "Dear Customer,thank you for your feedback and we are sorry for the bad experience.Kind regards,PetraDometic Customer Service"That is the same as saying that you could not care less, which is the consistent message received from Dometic Customer Service.No wonder Dometic's sales are down. When you sell faulty products and you treat customers like that, your business can only go bad.

dometic , the new owner of baystar and seastar hydraulic steering systems , used to be teleflex which was a good company to deal with , 300 hrs on a baystar steering helm and it has become unusable do to internal issues , 100% caused by manufacturer , then they give me this guy bruce loony that does nothing but come up with question after question to the tune of 10 e mails still nothing done about it , do this do that send pictures cuz we don't believe you its like dealing with a 4 yr old , dropping this shit company (dometic) I run a very busy marine repair /service shop , I refuse to ever deal with these clowns again , even the retailer has said dometic is TERRIBLE , don't walk RUN away from doing business with dometic , any future biz will be directed elsewhere

So all Dometic products have an identity code which should ensure replacing any faulty, broken parts should be a stroll in the park. But no,certainly not the case, making parts easily identifiable takes away the manufacturer's ability to control how you source such parts and their dealerships ability to profit from this. Too many examples to go into detail here but my latest frustrating attempt to replace a Seitz window with a Dometic approved supplier, having given them the supposedly unique product code have emailed back stating we need you to measure the cutout dimensions on the vehicle, the dimensions of the window itself and as many pictures as possible.. Inspires confidence don't you think? Buy our superior products, drive away today, we have your money. He he now you are on your own.

We ordered a Dometic Seitz Heki 2 roof hatch from Dometic through Amazon. On that webpage it was informed 6 of them were in stock. The roof hatch was needed urgently so one was ordered. Next an e-mail from Dometic saying that delivery date would be communicated later. After 2 weeks after paying still no e-mail. But on website the announcement the product will be delivered March 5. 2 months after paying and ordering !!! This is not mentioned on the order page: to the contrary. It is suggested they are in stock but in fact the product is in Germany and probably they wait until they have enough orders to make it more profitable to send many from Germany to the USA in one shipment... Second issue: in the USA Dometic sells this product for $ 1.500. While in Europe they sell it for $ 800....*********************************Dometic rersponds to our text above saying to use a link to Dometic customer service. The link brings the customer to a complicated website of Dometic in Germany and it is in the German language. Impossible to find there assistance. It is a dead end street what Dometic here suggests. They sell the product on Amazon USA and the price is in US Dollars. When purchasing they do not inform it is coming from Germany and taking 2 months to deliver...

I have the Dometic water container and pump. The pump has been great (not worth the price when anything similar is 1/4th the price) but it connects to the water storage container. There is a CRACK in the interior of the container where the tube connects to the exterior pump. After several weeks of going back and forth because they don’t look at pictures submitted the first time, I finally thought I was getting the replacement part. What they sent was not remotely what we discussed. They don’t read, they don’t listen. They aren’t actually thinking about the details of how to help resolve an issue. It’s like a comedy show. I think they are just checking off a box. Now they won’t respond so I have little hope of using the product as described.

How does Dometic Group expect anyone to trust their products when they can’t even stand behind them?I bought a Front Runner 6-Cub Box Drawer with Cargo Sliding Top, barely a few weeks old and already falling apart. Ball bearings breaking, again and again, all within the two-year warranty they proudly advertise.They’re willing to repair it for the umpteenth time……but not take the defective product back and refund me.A warranty means responsibility, not excuses.Apparently Dometic Group didn’t get that memo.

Terrible service - Avoid!Always been a fan of Front Runner products and am generally a fan of anything German. However when a simple quality control issue snowballs when the customer care team don’t care whatsoever! I will never use them again.Purchased a safe for my Ford Ranger and having booked it in to a garage to fit, imagine my amazement when they said the keys don’t fit the locks. This rendered the whole product useless and even worse my car was in the garage and the body shell drilled and rivnuts fitted.Cusuomer services gave mi a ticket but little else. Many phone calls and emails later I had no response or resolution other than they were working on a resolution. My last call resulted in them admitting the company was in chaos having been taken over by Dometic and couldn’t help me.Despite being promised a refund I have received nothing.Truly horrendous service, my advice is to avoid them like the plague and go down the ARB or RIVAL route unless you thrive on stress, disappointment and enjoy wasting your money on stuff you can’t use.
