Auto-Renew Failure Led to Immediate Downtime and Extra Fees

I had a very bad experience with Network Solutions and want to warn others.I purchased a domain from them and enabled auto-renewal. Unfortunately, the auto-renew failed, and within just 3 days they changed my domain’s nameservers to unused/default ones. This immediately took down my website and email services.What’s worse is that to restore the domain, I was forced to pay a reinstatement fee of USD 35.99 on top of the renewal cost.In my opinion, this is extremely unreasonable:* A failed auto-renew should not lead to service disruption in just a few days* Changing nameservers causes unnecessary downtime and business impact* The reinstatement fee feels excessive and unfair at such an early stageThis experience caused real disruption to my services and loss of trust.If you are considering using Network Solutions, be aware of how they handle failed renewals. You may risk unexpected downtime and extra fees.I would strongly recommend looking at other domain registrars with more reasonable grace periods and policies.

My email hasn’t worked in a week

My email hasn’t worked in a week, because an issue with my domain name. I have talked to three agents trying to fix the issue. The last person “guaranteed” it would work within 48 hours, but it still does not work. This is a business email of mine, and it is KILLING my business. Total failure!

Had an issue with DNS settings and connecting the new gmail address with an ecommerce site. They responded to my chat request, first with a bot, which immediately handed it off to a human. One look a screenshot and made a change to the DNS settings and done. Prompt, courteous and professional.

Dealing with Network Solutions was one…

Dealing with Network Solutions was one of the most difficult and frustrating experience I have ever had. I called with a simple request: to extend my subscriptions for five years. I was directed to call customer service and spoke to some lady who obviously did not speak English well. After approximately forty-five minutes, I thought that we had gotten everything straight. Then, I received a receipt with five year renewals on two items and only one year on two other items. I then called customer service again and tried to get this corrected. I again was speaking to some other lady who also did not speak English well. She finally suggested that she would have the same lady I had spoken to the first time call me back. No one called me back. I then received a copy of a new "Order," which did not correct my problems but added hosting which I had made clear that I did not want or need. I then wrote a very clear email response laying out my frustration and stating what I needed. My email response came back "undeliverable." I then copied my email and inserted it in the chat box. I got an immediate response telling me to call customer service again. I did so and got a very pleasant lady who also did not speak English well. After almost 40 minutes on the phone during which time I was put on hold numerous times, we finally got things straight. She confirmed to me in an email exactly what I had ordered and committed to refund charge for hosting. Again, this was the most frustrating effort I have ever endured. The entire transaction should have taken only two minutes and should have been done on-line. Hopefully, with a five-year renewal, I will not have to endure this for some time to come.

Absolute garbage hosting

Absolute garbage hosting. Moved my WordPress site here and everything broke immediately. Their server firewall blocks core WordPress files like admin-ajax.php which breaks any booking or AJAX-based plugin. Spent DAYS debugging only to find out their ModSecurity is misconfigured and blocking legitimate requests. PHP error logs are completely hidden so you can't even diagnose what's wrong. Live chat support has zero technical knowledge and couldn't fix a single thing. And when I asked for help they had the audacity to ask me to PAY MORE just to look into the issue. Are you serious? You broke my site and now want more money to fix what your own servers caused? Stay far away from Network Solutions if you run any serious WordPress website. The worst hosting experience I have ever had in my entire career. Switching immediately
