Defective Ted Baker bag + dismissive customer serviceI purchased a Ted Baker handbag at Dillard’s in Las Vegas before Christmas and discovered a clear manufacturing defect after only a few short uses — about two inches of trim were never sewn into the seam. When I contacted Dillard’s customer‑service chatbot, I was dismissed immediately because the purchase was “before Christmas,” even though this was obviously a quality‑control issue.This isn’t my first problem with Dillard’s policies. Last year I was unable to return children’s dresses because their “3‑day return window” includes the day of purchase, making evening and holiday shopping practically impossible.For context, I’ve worked in retail management, I’m a clothing designer, and I was a registered secret shopper in Nevada. I know what a manufacturing defect looks like, and I know what reasonable customer service should be. Dillard’s failed on both counts.After repeated issues and financial loss, my husband and I will be closing our account again. Dillard’s policies and customer‑service structure do not support customers or the brands they carry.

Poor Support from Dillard’s on a Defective Seiko WatchI purchased a Seiko automatic watch from Dillard’s on January 4th, and after just a little over two months of normal daily wear, the watch began losing 10–15 seconds per day. I wear it all day and only remove it to shower, so it receives more than enough wrist movement to stay properly wound.When I went back to Dillard’s for help, I didn’t receive any meaningful support or guidance. Instead, I was left to deal with the issue on my own. Seiko later told me I should “shake the watch 30 times every morning” to make it keep accurate time — which is not an acceptable solution for a new watch.I expected better customer service from Dillard’s. A watch this new should not be losing time, and customers should not be left without proper assistance when a product is clearly defective. Very disappointing experience.

I am a kid i literally went to the machine it did not work i looked all over the machine and their were nothing on the machine to say it was not working i was sad and my money was not coming out and i put my money and got nothing like if im wrong then I'm just unlucky if you have simular experience well sorry i wish i had never gone there i know maybe yall are wondering why i even give a review i just want to share my experience i

We were at Dillard's at The Summit shopping for men's dress pants. We met Quan D. Bui in the men's section. He worked above and beyond to find slacks that fit my husband's taste and size and looked good without dry cleaning. When we wanted a pair in navy, he ordered it to arrive back home in Washington state. I recommend him without hesitation.

Terrible customer service. Things that say they can be returned wereSent back to me. They said it was outside return window but they also said it was received 3 weeks after I sent it. They wouldn’t even honor a price adjustment since I was stuck with boots that don’t fit and are now on sale. The representative got off on being rude with zero respect for me. I’ll never shop there again online or otherwise.

Bought L L Bean robe from Dillard’s. Have purchased it from L L Bean many times. After one wash the shabby fabric was pilling. Can not wear as shedding on everything. Spoke to both stores in customer service. Neither would help. Pretty disgusting.

For a high end department store, their online buy/return policies are ridiculous! I ordered a formal gown online because I don't live close to an actual location. They felt the need to charge me $9.95 in shipping! Well, the dress didn't work out so I promptly returned and and they deducted another $9.95 return fee! What? So I paid an extra $20? For what? Terrible, I will NEVER order from this company again! I will stick with Macy's!

If I could give this store zero stars, I would — but unfortunately, one star is the lowest option.I had a very disappointing experience at the Dillard’s in Mesquite. I returned clothing items with the tags still attached, and the staff claimed I had removed them. They then refused the return, saying the items showed “wear and tear,” which was completely untrue. The clothes were expensive and in the same condition as when I purchased them.What made the situation worse was the lack of professionalism and customer service. The manager was unhelpful and unwilling to offer any solution — not even store credit. There was no effort to resolve the issue or treat me with courtesy.Based on my experience, I would not recommend shopping at this location.

Customer service cusses at you!! Some old woman at customer service refused my return for absolutely no reason, I had my receipt and I was within 30 days, and when I questioned her about it and told her that it was just bad customer service and walked away, she called me a “b..ch, f…. b..ch”, which then resulted in a verbal altercation! I don’t care how difficult or frustrating I get, I’m not in customer service, and I don’t represent a company, this kind of behavior towards customers should never be acceptable or allowed, it’s appalling!!
