I work at a Fortune 1000 (F5) as a BDR

I work at F5 as a BDR. We’ve never had a more inefficient tool at our company. Tried to switch to these guys for the BDR org and it’s God awful. LeadIQ is what you want. The demo makes you think it’ll be great but it doesn’t connect to SF very well at all. Also, if it doesn’t have the confidence of a company’s email format, it will make you manually edit EVERY SINGLE EMAIL.

Don't know how they got or sold my info. Their opt out form wanted a LinkedIn profile and required a bunch of info, which is so ridiculous. How is this still a thing? Silly to think they expected me to provide a random company i don't want to have my info with 8 personal data points to say don't use my data!

The go-to source of contact information

Using daily for prospecting and account development. It is an invaluable source of reliable information. Previously I used a legacy CRM which unfortunately has lot of outdated info and it was rather unreliable. Cognism has improved my effectiveness in my sales job

Efficient for sales

Congnism is great for anyone in sales , mainly due to integration with other platforms, finding contacts with correct email and phone numbers. They need some improvements with multiple platform integration.

GDPR Breach

How and where have this company got unpublished personal info, whilst allegedly adhering to GDPR ! ?&The expectation is to give them your personal email address to get a personal phone number removed from their database, that they did not have permission to have in the first place !

Cognism allows our commercial team to…

Cognism allows our commercial team to dramatically speed up the process of connecting with the prospects most important to us. The UI is clean and efficient, and the available API connection allows me even further efficiencies via agents I create. Quality of emails is high, and my experience with their team has been brilliant. Overall very happy with Cognism.

Selling my personal data without my consent

Some software provider cold called my mobile and told me that they got my data from Cognism. I have never allowed any company to be selling my mobile number, name, surname and company that I work for along with the job title. In the UK, the sale of personal data to third parties is not is strictly regulated. The law does not allow companies to sell data unless they comply with the stringent requirements of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018). Cognism sells my personal data without following these regulations, the sharing is unlawful. - UK GDPR Article 5(1)(a) – Lawfulness, Fairness, and Transparency: Personal data must be processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently. Selling data without informing the user or without a valid legal basis fails this principle.- UK GDPR Article 5(1)(b) – Purpose Limitation: Data must be collected for specific, explicit, and legitimate purposes. Selling data for a purpose that is incompatible with the original reason it was collected is prohibited.- UK GDPR Article 6 – Lawful Basis for Processing: A company must have a valid legal basis to share or sell data. For third-party marketing, this usually requires explicit, informed, and unambiguous consent.- Data Protection Act 2018 (Section 170): It is a criminal offence to knowingly or recklessly obtain, disclose, or sell personal data without the consent of the data controller.- Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR): If the sale of data is for electronic marketing (email, SMS, telephone), PECR requires prior consent.
