Disappointing “masterclass”

Disappointing masterclass. We spent £50 for my Mum & I to attend the Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Masterclass at the Voco Hotel in Fareham this evening (9th April 2026). Having seen other people’s experiences online, I had high hopes. Other reviews I’ve seen spoke of 20% discounts off retail prices, the price of the ticket being redeemable off products, and a goodie bag filled with some samples and at least 1 full sized product (some even had banded tote bags). They also spoke of a detailed masterclass (with around 20 people in the room) where you could get up close & really learn how to use the products. This was worlds apart. A large auditorium packed full of people, with no opportunity to see up close what was being done, and no real opportunity to test any products or ask any questions 1:1. No discounts on any of the products being sold either (in fact some were actually even priced higher than what they are available for on the app, which was very confusing). The goody bag consisted of a 7ml sample of magic cream, a 2ml mascara sample, 3ml cleanser sample and 1.5ml perfume sample. We were given a £10 voucher we could have used against a full size product, but it still worked out better value to just order from the app instead. I can’t see the value for the £50 I spent to be honest. Probably wouldn’t bother going to another one. Very disappointing.
