Had seven cruises with Celebrity! Everyone absolutely superb! Could not fault it. Tried P&O & it has no comparison! Obviously why it’s cheaper & tacky.

Wrongfully removed mid-cruise and abandoned

My wife and I were wrongfully removed from the Celebrity Beyond in St. Lucia during what was supposed to be my 40th birthday trip.The reason? We drew two harmless circles on a dry-erase board outside another guest’s stateroom after they had invited other passengers to comment by writing “Swifties?” We did not write any words, offensive language, or inappropriate drawings.We were questioned twice by staff and told there was no problem and no punishment would follow. Despite that reassurance, security later forced us off the ship without warning, documentation, or a chance to respond. We were also recorded by these crew members without our consent. We were stranded in a foreign country and had to pay over $2,100 in emergency travel expenses to get home. Celebrity never reimbursed us.What’s most disappointing is how Celebrity handled the aftermath:- no meaningful explanation,- no fair dispute process,- no reimbursement,- months of delay and stonewalling.This was humiliating, stressful, and deeply disappointing. I will never cruise with Celebrity again.

Do NOT sail on celebrity unless you're over 50. The onboard demographic skewed so old, the ship feels more like a retirement home than a holiday. The atmosphere of the ship reflects that. The energy feels so low constantly throughout the ship, during events and the main shows.It's genuinely a floating nursing home. My girlfriend and I are 26/25 and the experience was honestly jarring.Nights are particularly sad as all the bars and venues, especially the club are empty by around 11pm. Made worse by the fact the production staff blast the house lights at the end of the 10pm event, making everyone flee. During the day, activities are consistently slow-paced and lacking in energy, making them difficult to engage with. The main headline events beg for clapping and engagement which is never provided by the audience. It's like everyone is asleep.The constant upselling throughout the cruise is peominent. The app is filled with activities that cost more money and you have to filter this out to find the limited provided entertainment. The app experience itself is another disdapointment, it's clunky and displays incorrect information especially for paid experiences - always confirm with the guest relations what time and place your experiences are on.The entertainment was okay, but very hit or miss. Overall, it really wasn't distinctive and felt comparable to what is offered on all other cruise lines, so why bother pay more for Celebrity. The boat has its own amazing band but theyre onlt ever used as a backdrop for the main acts. Why not let them play throughout the ship during the day as they're obviously so talented and have their own special tastes.The ship is generally just poorly run, it seems like the entertainment and production cast are all amateurs in their fields which is such a disappointment when you pay a premium price for a holiday. Overall, for a cruise line positioned as “premium,” the level of service and overall experience fell well below my expectations. The venues and amenities have a lot of potential but whoever is deciding how they're utilised is seriously underperforming. (An example being there being a main entertainment being show held in the club. Most guests have obstructed views and there is limited seating. Adding on to this the production crew constantly standing around people's way so they can watch the show. There's just been so many poor experiences. I could never be recommending a celebrity cruise to anyone.

Celebrity Cruises Deposit Policy

Be forewarned that Celebrity cruise lines does not honor customer travel concerns during heightened world travel conditions. I was very much looking forward to taking our pre-teen grandsons on a much anticipated Alaska cruise with Celebrity. But when we became concerned for the safety of travel in current conditions for our grandsons and canceled our scheduled cruise on Celebrity's Solstice to Alaska sailing date of 31 May 2026, prior to the final payment date of 2 March 2026, Celebrity refused our request to move our deposit to a future cruise when we could feel safer. I thought I was dealing with a professional organization that truly cared about our comfort and ability to enjoy ourselves if/when we cruise with them. I was told that they would only let us utilize our deposit of $1250 if I could provide medical documentation as to our inability to travel due to health reasons. They further stated that they are better qualified to determine whether I should feel safe subjecting my family to unnecessary travel, purely for leisure fun, during heightened travel risks.If they truly respected their customers and want to provide them enjoyment as they claim, then they would be more flexible and accommodating under unusual heightened dangerous travel conditions. I'm an older grandparent with limited resources that had saved for this special trip with family and Celebrity is keeping my money while providing nothing. I have cruised on Royal Carribean in the past and had heard their partner Celebrity was a professional cruise line also. I will no longer use the service of either of these unprofessional cruise lines. I want to let people know the type of organization and the support they will receive from them. Don't be fooled as to their false claims of customer enjoyment and guaranteed satisfaction. Their just another company trying to take your money and if they can take it and give nothing then they will do it much to my surprise. Great Crew, Poor Corporate Customer Service

I'm a frequent cruiser. Crew was fantastic. Great cruise til the Infinity lost power in Athens Feb 2026. Guests had to disembark early. Told would be reimburse for receipted hotel & air, and $100 per person incidentals. Corporate Customer Services required receipts for $100 incidentals. After the fact impossible to obtain. No compensation for inconvenience. Based on facebook page many loyal celebrity cruisers frustrated by this. Disconnect between the Corporate Customer Services and the Ship & Corporate marketing team. I've enjoyed cruising on Celebrity, but dismayed by this incidence.

Disappointing experience before what should have been a special holiday”

We received incorrect visa advice before our cruise and acted on it, only to be sent a vague “update” later with no clear explanation that the original information was wrong.This caused significant stress and wasted time trying to resolve the issue shortly before travel, including real concern about whether we would be able to board.While the holiday went ahead, the experience beforehand was very upsetting, and the response to our complaint was disappointing, offering only future cruise credit which is of no use to us.Poor communication and lack of meaningful resolution have left us with little confidence in booking again.

No refund or goodwill gesture when prices dropped massively

Booked the Best of Scandinavia Cruise for May 2026 in December 2026 when a stateroom for the two of us suddenly became available, the cruise had previously appeared to be almost sold out. The stateroom has a partially obstructed view but we paid £7046 anyway, this does not include any add-ons like drinks and no on-board credit. When a month or so after this several equivalent or better staterooms became available at a massive £1400 ($1850 USD) less than we had paid I called Celebrity and asked about any sort of refund or even on-board credit as a gesture of goodwill. However the agent was unsympathetic and informed me that Celebrity would not even give us a little on-board credit as a token of goodwill. This is our 3rd Celebrity cruise, but it will be our last as Celebrity has not shown on this occasion that they value their guests.

Can’t believe I have had to resort to…

Can’t believe I have had to resort to this review due to no care or response from customer relations I would like to start by saying that our cruise was excellent the staff and room steward were very polite and professional.Now I get to the I’m not impressed part I will list below the issues.On boarding day we were given a note to say our end of cruise tour was cancelled no prior communication which left us paying extra for a different tour to replace it.During the cruise our daughter was returning some items from the camp at sea scavenger hunt and went missing for nearly an hour upon me asking guest relations to put out an announcement as I couldn’t find her the response was no we won’t do that, they then advised I lost time filling In paperwork and leave security to look for her while a 10 year old was effectively missing with no trace We also couldn’t use the lawn club,the sky view bar area or the disco area on several occasions due to being closed for private functions which in turn stopped full use of the shipTo end the cruise on a very poor situation when I checked twice on the tour with guest relations to make sure it was dropping us off and Miami international airport by 2pm and being assured it does, we then embarked on the tour and when we was leaving for the airport at 1pm to be told by the guide that they were dropping off at Fort Lauderdale airport port first then dropping the tour guide back to the port and then onwards to Miami. When i pointed out to the guide that this is not what I was told and that it would make us late for check in the response of well celebrity should never of booked us on that tour if that was the case and in turn we made it to Miami airport with less than 1 hour till our flight and to top it off we were dropped at the north terminal not south and left us to get multiple cases and two adults and a 10 year to the correct place with hardly no time left which created unnecessary stress and potential for us to of missed our homebound flight which if virgin hadn’t been extremely helpful by getting us through express security would of certainly been the case.

Best Booking Experience

Booking our upcoming October cruise from Sydney to New Zealand and back with Celebrity Cruises has been an absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish.As the lead travelers coordinating a group of 36 people, I knew this would require careful planning, clear communication, and a lot of support—and Celebrity truly delivered. Their booking team was top-notch: professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful every step of the way.What really stood out was how proactive and knowledgeable the staff were. They provided useful, practical information that made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Every question was answered promptly, and they made sure our group arrangements were organized and seamless.Thanks to their guidance and attention to detail, I feel completely confident that our cruise will be easy, enjoyable, and memorable for everyone in our group.This has been more than just a booking—it’s been a first-class planning experience.
