I appreciate the company representative that helped me get the replacement part for free. I waited to rate the service call because I wanted to see how the new part performed. The piece has continued to fall into the grounds. It gets buried and we've almost thrown it out twice. Is this normal? Could I have gotten a bad machine? We love the machine otherwise.

I’m very upset with the customer service I received. My grinder BCG 400 SIL stopped working, and after waiting on hold for 19 minutes, I spoke with someone who sounded like a robot and didn’t listen to me at all. I kept saying I had already cleaned the grinder, but she repeated the same script over and over. Nothing was resolved. Now I’m being told to do a video call with someone who isn’t even a technician. This whole experience has made me seriously reconsider ever buying a Breville product again. I have the grinder since August 2025.

I had an issue with the grinder on my new Breville machine and I contacted Breville Consumer Support. Ultimately I needed to return the machine to Breville to have the problem resolved. After my machine was returned to me, I contacted Breville Consumer Support again for a minor follow up issue and this time spoke Denise. She addressed my initial question. But she also went above and beyond during our conversation and explained what the problem was with my grinder, provided guidance on which type of beans often work best, introduced me to a web site offering a variety of freshly roasted beans, and gave me some additional tips for use with my Breville machine. I was very impressed both times I contacted consumer support as to how well versed the support personnel is with my Breville appliance. And I was particularly impressed that Denise was able to discuss the specifics of the issue with my machine.
