I've been a customer since the beginning and have had both good experiences and bad. I think they've become too big to maintain a polished customer experience. They no longer ship with FedEx and use smaller, less reputable companies. When they match prices of other retailers such as Patagonia, they charge for shipping and more recently sent the wrong item-which can happen I suppose. In the past, shipping was fast and reliable, price matching was logical and fair and the company was likely of a size that allowed for a fully positive experience. They do have excellent prices and a wide selection of brands and options which I appreciate. They also offer phone support which is fast, efficient and reliable.

I have been purchasing from Altitude Sports for quite a while now, and they have become one of the few online retailers I genuinely trust. Over the years, I’ve bought a wide range of gear from them for hiking, camping, and cycling, and my overall experience has been consistently positive.What keeps me coming back is not just the quality of the products they carry, but the level of service behind it. Good customer service is becoming harder to find, and Altitude Sports has continued to stand out to me for being dependable, professional, and customer-focused. That reliability means a lot when you are buying gear you want to count on.I also appreciate that they have earned my business over time rather than through one single order. My loyalty comes from repeated good experiences, and that says more to me than anything. I purchased the membership based on their promise to price match. There are a list of things that are not included in the price match policy. The price match system used to work fine, but lately they have made the procedure extremely difficult. They also kept denying price match requests purely based on "we refuse to sell you the product at this price". If you cannot honor your policy, don't sell your membership advertising the price guarantee.

Nothing irritates me more than a company that advertises sales, discounts and rebates and when you try to use that "sale," the fine print comes into play. This "bait and switch" game has really got to end with retailers. Today it was a "join our newsletter and get 20% off. I did this and my 20% off became "Get 10% to 20% off products on this page" - random items that I did not want to purchase. Today you lost a $400 sale and a costumer. ✌🏽

Purchased a pair of skis from Altitude. It was clearly a packing-fault, was not packed properly, which resulted that the box was damaged when it arrived. To of the skis got scratch-marked. I was offered CAD25 in discount. It took a week with customer service team to achieve this. They can keep the CAD25.... I will not buy again....

I ask to return a product and was told that I would be docked $11.99. Reason not provided. . I was also informed that I should become a member to avoid such return costs. Frankly I cannot afford the membership fee, nor can I afford the general fee. The product was expensive enough. It is also difficult to read all the fine print in their ads and am very disappointed with their return practices. I will not be buying from them again ever, and wish to warn others about this unfair practice (given the tough times we are living under currently). It is high time they reconsidered their return policies.

I would definitely say this is probably the best online retailer in Canada. From product purchase to return, every step of the process is smooth, fast, and highly professional. Communication was clear, concise, and to the point, which made the entire experience stress-free. Returns and refunds are extremely hassle-free, giving customers real peace of mind.They offer a huge variety of products to choose from, so there is truly something for everyone. Incorrect order sent which amounted a 3rd of the purchased order in quantity. Emails were not returned so I phoned. Had to send them pictures of proof of what I received. I complied with this request. Nothing?! So, I emailed again. Nothing. Then I attempted to phone. My phone was dropped twice within 2 minutes after a long wait. Coincidence? I don’t think so. Bad customer service? Definitely!

Do not trust the shipping estimates in the checkout!! I needed something last minute from them and so bought it with express shipping, which showed as next day delivery in the checkout. The item didn't come until four days later and the best they could offer was free return shipping and a $15 credit on a $660 order. Proceed with caution!!

Hi,I ordered 4 items from Altitudes sports. 2 items arrived within a few days , the others not. I contacted the company and was told that because they were coming from another company, they had not been shipped yet. A week after, I received the third item. I am still missing one item and am trying to contact Altitudes sports again regarding the one missing item. I will not be ordering from them again. Too much work, too much wait and trouble. Who knows if I will ever get that fourth item.
