this is so stupid they added a second "verification" to the site and it does NOT work on my phone. It does NOT send me the second code the "scan" does not work on anything I have tried (three phones so far) and they REFUSE to take that second verification off. I did NOT request a second step. I was fine for years without it. I've had this account for 8 or 9 years without any issues and now they decide to BLOCK ME FROM MY OWN INFORMATION Horrible DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS BULL

23andme has been one of the greatest wastes of money I have ever experienced. I sent in their kit pricing at over 100+ dollars and after over 2 months the process hasnt moved beyond where it should be. When I message them I am told to be patient, save your money and go to an actual reputable buisness for this kind of process. 23andme is nothing more than a scam company and if you fall for it you will look just as foolish as the rest of us. Save your money people

I’ve been waiting nearly two months now for results and it hasn’t even passed the first stage of the DNA processing, I’ve emailed multiple times and they say ‘we’ll get back to you in 1-2 business days’ which they don’t. Quite an expensive service and the estimated date for my results just keeps getting pushed further and further back, I’ve had no update on the stage my DNA is at since Feb 11th. I completely understand these things take time, but at this point, I find it unlikely I will get any results from them.

This is a follow up to my mother's review. 23andMe replied to her and provided the number to call, however they don't answer. I've called countless times and I get no response. I was gifted a 23andMe last year and I was given a year free subscription. I not only ended the subscription before the date was up, but I deleted my account. Why am I still getting emails and newsletters from them if I've deleted my account and why hasn't my money been returned? They fraudulently used my card on a subscription I ended. It needs to be fixed and still hasn't been fixed.

My daughter and I canceled our accounts with 23andMe last year after they announced that they were going to be filing for bankruptcy ,and another company was going to be buying all of the DNA information. I continue to get emails from them asking me to log in and edit information personal information answer questions of course I don't respond but I think it's unusual because supposedly they're not in business anymore. I'm writing this review because we have recently reached out many times to this company with no response as I said both my daughter and I have removed our accounts however recently 23 me a subscribed my daughter to a year subscription without her permission she's never had a subscription with them before and the one she had prior had been a gift from someone else so without her permission they charged for $70, they used her card on file that they had requested from her over a year ago, which at the time had I have known I would have told her not too. We have been unable to get a response from any of their team members and or company response she has had to cancel her credit card and now they're going to have to dispute because how do you purchase a subscription for a company that supposedly bankrupt and that you no longer have an account with?

Received this as a gift for Christmas, sent off my sample on 28th December, my sample has been stuck in the queue for DNa extraction since 21st January, it says it’ll be done in 1-2 weeks but it’s now March and it hasn’t moved. I contact 23 and me but it’s not resolved. Very slow considering we get an annual plan included in this, I hope this starts from the day I get my results NOT the day I sent off the sample!?
